Pre-college Observer’s Program
Students may wish to experience their chosen career for a day, giving them an idea of their future pathway before dedicating years of studying in college. The Pre-college Observer’s Program at MMC allows nursing students to observe contemporary nursing practices for a day and determine if it is right for them. This program will provide sufficient academic support and will ensure upmost student engagement.
Clinical Instruction
Medici College implements an outcomes–based curriculum and way of instruction that focuses on the capacity that students can achieve after education.
Class Typology:
We strive to prepare students for the workplace.
Methods of teaching are highly diverse. Aside from classroom-based learning, students are granted access to laboratories and sites of professional practice, including clinical internships in communities and acute care settings.
Learning is characterized by the principles of F.A.I.R (Feedback, Active engagement, Integration opportunities and Reflection).
Interactive and cooperative discussion lectures are the foundation of undergraduate instruction, with combined learning and a flipped classroom model that integrates self-directed learning.
Clinical Internship:
Begins during the 1st semester of the 2nd year. Students adopt a hands-on approach towards learning during patient care activities and collaborate with a preceptor and clinical instructor.
Provides exposure to advanced clinical settings in units such as intensive care, bone marrow transplant, cancer, artificial kidneys, and the like.

Board Review
Our program familiarizes students with a minimum of 10,000 board exam questions before taking the board exam. Each student must meet the following conditions as part of this process:
- GPA grades must be at least 2.5 in all board subjects.
- Must consistently answer a minimum of 300 out of 500 exam questions.
Appraisal Board
Score of 80% or higher on pre-board exam
3 Phases of board exam review will take place for those who undertake the June program. This allows almost a year of preparation. The 1st phase will commence in June, the 2nd phase will commence in November and the final phase will commence in March and involves extensive review.
Results will be closely monitored and analysed to determine capability to achieve the passing mark. Those who fail to reach the criteria will be advised to take on the November program. A parent-teacher conference will also be scheduled.
Graduate Placement
We endorse our high performing students to Makati Medical Center. Higher priority is granted for those who also take the board exam. Upon graduation, students need at least an 80% board rating for successful hire. According to recent surveys from Makati Medical Center, 90 - 95 % of alumni are successfully hired. Other graduates are granted enrolment at St. Luke, Medical City, Asian Hospital and Cardinal. Successful hiring at these institutions is common due to previous links with Metro Pacific Group (MPIC). Makati Medical Center is a member of MPIC, which has invested towards the previously listed hospitals. After 2 years of service at the Makati Medical Center, most of our alumni migrate abroad (to the US, Europe, or the Middle East).
