Enchanted Soirée: A Tale from the Enchanted Realm

Marquis, BGC, September 30, 2023 - The much-anticipated Acquaintance Party of the Academic Year 2023-2024, aptly named "Enchanted Soirée," unfolded in a dazzling display of camaraderie and talent at Marquis, BGC. The event was hosted by the charismatic duo Ysa Sto. Domingo and Rex Matthew Vaflor, commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by the rendition of the Philippine National Anthem and the stirring MDMC hymn, filling the venue with an air of unity and pride. Dr. Emmanuel Candido Santos, in his opening remarks, set the tone for the evening, emphasizing the importance of forging strong connections within the academic community.
The soirée brimmed with lively activities, including trivia questions that tested both wit and knowledge, the entertaining "Bring Me" game, and the hilarious "Guess the Picture" challenge featuring familiar faces from the faculty and student body. Laughter echoed through the hall during the category game, while the classic "Hephep Hooray" brought forth spirited cheers from all corners of the venue. The raffle drew eager participants hoping to snag some fantastic prizes.
A momentous segment followed, with the introduction of the dedicated faculty and staff, as well as the dynamic Student Council. The introduction and induction of class officers and organization leaders further highlighted the capable individuals who would be steering the ship for the academic year. Certificates were bestowed upon the hardworking officers of organizations and class representatives.
The various organizations showcased their talents, proving that MDMC is a hub of diverse skills. The Pyretics, VACS, and Sports organizations wowed the crowd with their synchronized dances, while the Chord serenaded the audience with harmonious melodies. The VIBE, always on the pulse of campus life, engaged in lively interviews, posing questions ranging from fashion preferences to the contents of students' bags.
The gastronomic experience was nothing short of exquisite, with a delectable menu that included artisan bread rolls, roasted pumpkin soup, and penne pasta with an onion cream sauce and bacon adorned with parmesan cheese. Chicken scaloppini with lemon parsley olive oil and braised beef bourguignon were met with equal acclaim, accompanied by freshly harvested buttery vegetables and steamed white rice. For dessert, mango crepe samurai and amaretto tiramisu provided a sweet conclusion to the culinary journey.
The night was made even more memorable by a vibrant photo booth, capturing candid moments of joy and camaraderie. As the evening reached its climax, the spotlight turned to the shining stars of the night. Trishcia Reyes from BSN2B was hailed as the female star of the night, radiating grace and charm. Meanwhile, Alphonse Musngi from BSRT3A stole the show as the male star of the night, exuding confidence, and charisma.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Ann Orejudos expressed gratitude for the success of the enchanting evening, emphasizing the importance of such gatherings in fostering a tightly-knit academic community. As a token of the enchantment that was shared, all attendees were presented with personalized souvenirs - a sleek ballpen and a stethoscope tag, bearing their names and a touch of the magical evening.
With hearts full of camaraderie and spirits soaring, the students took to the dance floor, celebrating the night away in a jubilant display of unity and friendship.
The Enchanted Soiree of 2023 will undoubtedly remain etched in the memories of the MDMC community as a night of enchantment, camaraderie, and celebration. This spectacular event was orchestrated by the dedicated members of the Student Council for the Academic Year 2023 - 2024.
